Science with shannon

Let me recap what happened. Shannon Seal came into room 22 to teach us science. We did numerous experiments, in my group we did: testing what happened when white/brown sugar did when put in water, if a strawberry goes wet or dry when put with sugar and finally what happens if you put skittles around the perimeter of a plate, then apply water. it turns out that white sugar makes the water taste better (sweet) and to Lorenzo's point of view, brown sugar makes it taste like tea. when we tried the strawberry test, Lorenzo applied the sugar (because I dislike strawberries) but it remained wet. The skittles test was the funniest. it looked like all the colours were put in a swirl but the center remained white. The funny part was the S on the skittles floated up in the water. Some of the groups, after they got regular skittles, took out the sugarless skittles from the plate, and some hogged the skittles, but the last thing some people did was mix it together to see the end result. my team did this, but the amazing swirl of colours turned completely orange. How dull.

I had amazing fun, and if you ask any of my classmates they will also say they had fun, if they were being honest.

  2. I notice though that you don't mention the point of the experiments was to observe dissolving and diffusion... :)
